About the role

Impulse Space is looking for an Executive Recruiter in Redondo Beach to lead full-cycle recruiting for senior leadership and executive-level positions across engineering, manufacturing, business operations and corporate functions. As the company grows, hiring top technical leaders is critical to its short- and long-term goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for executive and senior leadership roles, from intake and sourcing strategy through offer negotiation and close.
• Partner with the CEO, executive team and hiring managers to define role requirements, assess talent needs and align on hiring priorities.
• Develop and run targeted search strategies to find passive candidates in aerospace, defense, technology and related industries.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and anticipated leadership needs.
• Reach out to candidates and run preliminary assessments of leadership capability, technical depth, cultural alignment and overall fit.
• Manage candidate relationships through interviews, keeping the process high quality, discreet and professional.
• Provide market intelligence on executive talent availability, compensation, organizational structures and competitive hiring activity.
• Lead offer development and negotiations with hiring managers and People Operations.

Required profile

• 8+ years of recruiting experience, including success recruiting senior leadership and executive-level talent.
• Proven experience managing full-cycle recruiting for complex, high-impact roles.
• Demonstrated ability to source and engage passive candidates through direct outreach, networking, referrals and creative search strategies.
• Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and senior hiring managers.
• Ability to manage multiple searches at once in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Preferred: 5+ years of executive recruiting in aerospace, defense, space, advanced hardware or similar fields, and success recruiting VP-level and C-suite roles.

Required skills

• Strong candidate assessment, relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Preferred: familiarity with executive search methodologies, compensation benchmarking and competitive talent mapping.

• Salary of $165,000 - $195,000 per year, depending on role, level, location and market data.
