About the role

Savannah Technical College is seeking a dynamic Executive Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions and serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership. This senior role will shape HR strategy, drive talent initiatives, and foster an inclusive workplace aligned with the college’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies supporting organizational goals.
• Advise senior leadership on human capital matters and lead change initiatives.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and employee development programs.
• Promote a positive, inclusive culture and manage employee relations and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Technical College System of Georgia regulations.
• Maintain policies that mitigate employment‑related risk and oversee background checks.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably in higher education or large public institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic HR initiatives and lead organizational change.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and risk management.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills for interaction with senior executives.
