Events & Activities Coordinator

About the role

The Student Activities & Events Coordinator reports to the Director of the Center for Student Involvement and supports leadership development and campus-wide programming to enrich the co‑curricular experience of undergraduate and graduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Support student clubs and organizations through leadership curriculum development, workshop facilitation, and assistance with reporting and purchasing processes.
• Lead planning and execution of campus‑wide social, traditional, and educational events, coordinating vendors, security, audiovisual services, and facility usage.
• Represent the Center at major university events such as Orientation, Commencement, and Friends & Family Weekend, and serve on student life committees.
• Manage budgets, track expenses, and handle purchasing and Concur submissions for assigned programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in belonging, inclusion, and community‑building work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse student and campus communities.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
