About the role
This part‑time position provides direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities during evening and overnight hours, fostering independence and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care, hygiene assistance, feeding, ambulation, and health‑related tasks.
- Transport participants safely to community programs, appointments, and outings.
- Document services, medication logs, and behavioral observations.
- Encourage self‑help activities and life‑skill development such as nutrition, cooking, and finance.
Required profile
- Patience and composure in stressful situations.
- Good communication with participants, families, and medical professionals.
- Dependable attendance and timeliness.
- Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
Required skills
- Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; 18 years or older.
