Etch Maintenance Specialist (PM Technician) - Night Shift 1

About the role

NXP is hiring an Etch Maintenance Specialist (PM Technician) for its Austin facility, working the first night shift. The role covers rebuilding and cleaning subassemblies for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, preventative maintenance, support of subfab equipment, chemical handling and keeping consumables supplied.

Key responsibilities

• Rebuild and clean subassemblies for semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on dry etch tool sets including AMAT (DPSII, DPS, MxP, MxP+, IPS, Super E and 5200s), Ulvac, Gasonics, Fusion Gemini and LAM (4400 and Coronus)
• Support subfab equipment and handle chemicals
• Ensure an adequate supply of consumables for rebuilding subassemblies
• Create and follow written procedures

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of previous equipment maintenance and/or parts management
• Preferred: 3-5 years of related wafer fab experience focused on production equipment
• Preferred: more than 12 hours toward an Associate degree in electronics from an accredited school
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Detail-oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work professionally in a fast-paced production environment

Required skills

• Understanding of electronic, mechanical and vacuum systems
• Knowledge of 5S principles and experience maintaining a 5S organization in maintenance or parts management
• Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking
