Estimator II - Semiconductor

About the role

The Estimator II independently develops accurate, competitive estimates for electrical commercial construction projects and defined scopes within mission-critical and data center environments. The role covers complete pricing, scope definition and alignment with field installation practices and productivity, supporting both design-build and structured bid work. It is a full-time, on-site position in the Estimating department.

Key responsibilities

• Accept RFQs, RFPs and invitations to bid, create project folders and prepare documents for estimating
• Build Accubid projects, review specifications and project documents, and attend job walks
• Develop detailed takeoffs, Bills of Materials and logical assumptions, and review junior estimators' work against EEC requirements
• Manage multiple bids, communicate with vendors and clients, and update the team during weekly sales meetings
• Mentor Estimator I staff and provide analytical feedback to improve the estimating process

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or journeyman's card preferred, or equivalent education, military training and hands-on electrical construction experience
• Strong working knowledge of electrical construction and the National Electrical Code
• Ability to read full drawing sets, specifications and one-line diagrams, and to identify constructability concerns
• Ability to manage several bids and requests at once in a deadline-driven environment
• Willingness to visit job sites, wear PPE and occasionally work early mornings, evenings or weekends

• MS Excel for pricing and analysis
• Ability to build labor estimates from real installation methods and to level subcontractor quotes
