About the role
Offit Kurman is expanding its trusts and estates litigation practice in New York and seeks a litigation attorney with at least two years of experience. The role involves handling complex disputes across Surrogate's Court, Supreme Court, and federal court.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and argue motions, conduct depositions, and appear in court for high‑stakes matters.
- Advise clients on sensitive fiduciary, guardianship, and elder‑law issues, particularly capacity concerns.
Required profile
- Admission to the New York Bar.
- 2–10 years of litigation experience with a strong foundation in trusts and estates, fiduciary litigation, guardianships, Surrogate's Court procedure, or elder law.
Required skills
- Excellent legal writing and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical abilities for complex dispute resolution.
