Equity Compensation and Payroll Lead

About the role

Rox Data Corp is seeking a dedicated Equity Compensation and Payroll Lead to own end‑to‑end payroll, variable compensation, and equity administration. This finance‑focused position will centralize processes currently spread across multiple providers and ensure accurate, compliant payouts for our US and international workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Control payroll input, maintain maker/checker separation, and manage the payroll cutoff calendar.
• Review and approve commission payout files from RevOps before payroll processing.
• Calculate, document, and route non‑sales variable compensation such as performance and referral bonuses.
• Administer equity plans, including RSU vesting, ISO/NSO exercises, 83(b) elections, and reconcile with Carta.
• Manage reimbursement and fringe benefit taxability, including accountable‑plan testing.
• Oversee benefits census, ACA reporting, and 401(k) participant data.
• Coordinate EOR invoice reconciliation, vendor relationships, and potential PEO exit readiness.

Required profile

• Strong finance background with experience in payroll and equity administration.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on controls, audit trails, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and partner with Finance Operations and People teams.
