Enrollment Support Specialist (Remote)

About the role

The University of Miami’s Division of Enrollment Management is hiring a full‑time Enrollment Support Specialist to work remotely. The role provides high‑quality customer service to prospective, current, and newly admitted students and their families while managing sensitive enrollment records.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary phone and email contact for admission and financial aid inquiries, handling high‑volume communication.
• Manage incoming undergraduate documents, verify accuracy, and assign them to student records.
• Maintain secure, confidential student records in systems such as Slate, PeopleSoft/CaneLink, PowerFAIDS, College Board, and OnBase.
• Review and resolve mismatched records, process test scores, and handle change requests.
• Support workflow across enrollment processes, including transcript review and I‑20 material coordination.
• Perform ongoing record maintenance in Slate, consolidating duplicate records and processing inbound files from external agencies.
• Ensure data integrity in CaneLink by staging table review, troubleshooting load errors, and preventing duplicate records.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; post‑secondary education preferred.
• No prior experience required; experience in records management or customer service is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and administrators.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
