Engineering Technician 2 – Weekend Shift

About the role

The Engineering Technician 2 works on electro‑mechanical systems that support semiconductor equipment. The position involves design, testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and mechanical components, primarily on a weekend shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine to moderately complex electro‑mechanical tasks such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical and mechanical subsystems, and execute new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions to conduct testing and troubleshooting, and compile logbooks and test procedure documentation.
• Conduct mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum and process testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Observe all safety standards, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and generate Quality Notifications as needed.

Required profile

• Physically demanding work requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting, and the ability to work in tight spaces, noisy environments, and clean‑room conditions.
• Willingness to wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and face shields.
• Ability to follow safety training, operating instructions, and security policies without supervision.
• No supervisory responsibilities; works independently within established procedures.
