EMS Adjunct Instructor

About the role

The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Adjunct Instructor will join the Allied Health department at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas. This fixed‑term faculty position involves delivering EMS coursework, supervising student activities, and supporting program administration.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate EMS educational program offerings.
• Prepare and deliver classroom and practical instruction for EMS students.
• Supervise student activities during instructional time, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate grades, program records, and student documentation.
• Prepare and submit required data, reports, and program metrics.
• Participate in program promotion, student recruiting, and marketing events.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of an EMS‑approved instructor course.
• Minimum of two years of EMS experience directly related to instructional duties.
• State of Arkansas certification and National Registry certification as an EMT‑Basic, EMT‑Advanced, or Paramedic.
