Emergency Medical Technician – Night Shift

About the role

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician to provide basic patient care in the Emergency Services department. This full‑time night shift position supports patient safety and departmental flow at Orange Coast Medical Center of Hope.

Key responsibilities

• Collect vital signs, specimens, and perform ECG testing.
• Provide personal hygiene and physical care to patients.
• Document patient information accurately in the clinical information system.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow privacy regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Current EMT certification and AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• At least one year of acute care experience (preferred).
• Basic computer knowledge.

Required skills

• Emergency Medical Technician certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ECG testing.
• Vital sign collection.
• Specimen collection.
• Computer proficiency for documentation.
