About the role
World Vision is seeking an Emergency Communications Innovation and AI Intern to support its Global Centre Emergency Communications Team. The intern will help improve the speed, effectiveness, and coordination of emergency communications using AI, automation, and digital transformation tools.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze emergency communications workflows and identify automation opportunities using Microsoft 365 and AI solutions.
- Design process‑improvement solutions that reduce manual effort and accelerate approvals.
- Create dashboards and reporting tools to track media coverage, website performance, StoryHub usage and social‑media engagement.
- Enhance information accessibility through improved metadata, taxonomy and document‑management practices.
- Support design, testing and implementation of Microsoft Copilot agents and other AI‑enabled tools.
- Develop templates, collaboration workspaces, documentation and training materials for global teams.
- Research emerging AI, automation and digital‑transformation practices used by humanitarian and media organisations.
- Evaluate innovative approaches and produce prototypes or recommendations to boost agility and responsiveness.
Required profile
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, especially SharePoint, Teams, Lists, Copilot and Power Automate.
- Ability to analyse data and create dashboards or performance insights.
- Understanding of metadata, taxonomy, document management and knowledge‑sharing practices.
- Strong interest in AI‑enabled solutions, workflow automation and digital collaboration technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across diverse, global teams.
