Eligibility Services Administrator

About the role

Join the State of Georgia’s Department of Human Services as an Eligibility Services Administrator. The position reports to an OFI Deputy or District Manager and is based in Gwinnett County, supporting families and children through eligibility determination and public assistance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision and support to assigned supervisors.
• Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of services to ensure outcome measures are achieved.
• Ensures agency compliance with policies, documentation and reporting requirements.
• Develops a cooperative, team‑oriented environment across units and with external partners.
• Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates staff and recommends disciplinary actions.
• Leads and administers a comprehensive customer support and public assistance system.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED with five years of related experience, or an associate degree with four years of experience.
• Or one year of experience as a lower‑level Eligibility Specialist Supervisor (or equivalent).
• Agency‑specific requirement: one year of experience supervising eligibility specialists or a customer contact center.

Required skills

• Data analysis using spreadsheets (e.g., Excel).
• Report generation with standard reporting tools.
