Electronics Technician II – Field Operations

About the role

Join M.C. Dean’s Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Business Unit as an Electronics Technician II, providing on‑site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security and electronic solutions for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance of intrusion detection, access control, biometric, video surveillance, AV, and IT systems.
• Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test system functionality, and deliver technical support to customers.
• Interpret and apply M.C. Dean drawing packages, ensuring constructability and compliance with NEC standards.
• Follow safety plans (JHA, AHA, PFW), attend daily ORM meetings, and enforce company policies.
• Manage tool inventory, perform daily inspections, and verify accurate time‑sheet charges.
• Install raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and grounding systems; terminate and test connections.

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and technical proficiency in electronic security systems.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and adhere to safety and compliance procedures.
