Electromechanical Technician – Industrial Electrician

About the role

The Electromechanical Technician (Industrial Electrician) maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and optimizes production equipment with a focus on electrical and automation systems. You will work closely with production, engineering and maintenance teams to keep factory assets operating efficiently. After an initial training period on a day shift, the role moves to a night shift on a 2‑2‑3 schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, replace and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, electric eyes, conduit systems, switches, wiring, belts and valves.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and HMI hardware, read ladder logic and make basic adjustments.
• Maintain material handling systems such as the automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) in the warehouse.
• Use diagnostic instruments, electrical diagrams, schematics and CMMS to work safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic rigging, mechanical practices and welding in an industrial environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience in maintenance of complex mechanical, electrical and automation systems, OR a technical degree/certification with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work the night shift (6 p.m.–6 a.m.) on a 2‑2‑3 schedule after training.
