Electromechanical Technical Support Engineer

About the role

The Electromechanical Technical Support Engineer will support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of electro‑mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. This three‑month fixed‑term position is based in Johns Creek, GA, and may be extended or converted to a full‑time role depending on headcount.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, and assemble electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Install, calibrate, repair, and upgrade components, control equipment, and facility infrastructure.
• Assist engineers in developing technical solutions for device performance.
• Inspect and maintain equipment using diagnostic tools and software.
• Rework, repair, and modify non‑conforming equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma with technical school certification or equivalent experience.
• Specialized training in at least three disciplines (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, control systems, equipment schematics).
• Five years of related experience with technical certification, or seven years without certification, in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and safety practices.

Required skills

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of electrical control circuits (24VDC‑480VAC).
• Instrumentation experience (pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, conductivity meters).
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Siemens PLC‑controlled systems.
• Reading and interpreting P&IDs and as‑built drawings.
• Maintenance and repair of centrifugal and positive‑displacement pumps, agitators, mixers, mechanical seals, bearings, valves (ball, gate, check, control, relief, emergency shutdown), pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and cooling systems.
