Electrical Testing Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Testing Technician to perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on completed production cables and heater systems, and to support manufacturing activities. The role requires strong safety commitment and on‑site presence in our Houston facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform FAT on cables and heater systems, including AC and DC testing.
• Conduct routine and specialized electrical tests on mineral‑insulated cable systems.
• Support production tasks and assist R&D projects to improve cable performance.
• Manage testing material inventory and maintain detailed test records.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience with electrical systems and test equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills for clear, concise reporting.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Line frequency HiPot (up to 50 kV) testing.
• Very low frequency (VLF) HiPot testing.
• DC insulation testing and Tan‑Delta testing.
• Power analysis meters, inductance and capacitance meters.
• High current injection and Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR).
• Fault finding, data acquisition and logging equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office for record‑keeping and reporting.
• Practical experience with hand and power tools.
