Electrical Engineering Co‑op – Latham, NY (Jan‑Jul 2027)

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineering co‑op to join Philips’ HealthTech team in Latham, NY for a six‑month period (January‑July 2027). You will gain hands‑on experience testing components for superconducting MRI magnet products and supporting their development and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, assembly, and testing of electronic controllers and superconducting magnets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on printed circuit boards.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement design solutions.
• Conduct experiments and tests to evaluate prototype performance and reliability.
• Document test results and provide detailed reports with findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience setting up and executing test protocols.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and standards in a lab environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities and self‑motivation to learn.
