EHS Specialist – Hybrid (3 days onsite)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in the Minneapolis area. This hybrid position requires three days per week onsite, with additional on‑site presence as business needs dictate. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our EHS programs while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Advise leadership and staff across multiple sites on all EHS matters.
• Develop and maintain safety management systems aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.
• Create and deliver EHS policies, training programs, and safety culture initiatives.
• Support supervisors in incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, air‑quality controls, water‑pollution prevention, hazardous‑material handling, and permitting.
• Collaborate on safety and environmental improvements for new equipment, plant expansions, and process changes.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, job hazard analyses (JHA), and risk assessments.
• Lead safety audits, coordinate remediation plans, and report EHS metrics to senior leadership.
• Promote employee engagement in EHS programs and participate in sustainability initiatives.

Required profile
