Editorial Manager – Communications & Storytelling

About the role

We are looking for an Editorial Manager to lead the editorial strategy and content engine for Saronic’s public relations and communications function. The role sits at the heart of our storytelling, turning complex maritime autonomy technology into clear, compelling narratives that showcase our mission, people and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the communications editorial calendar, aligning company milestones, announcements and campaigns with storytelling opportunities.
• Develop an editorial rhythm that ensures a steady flow of high‑quality content across all communication channels.
• Identify gaps in the calendar and proactively create stories, campaigns and content to keep the narrative moving forward.
• Build relationships across technical, operational, business and leadership teams to uncover proof points, customer impact and employee expertise.
• Conduct interviews and research, then translate complex technical and business topics into clear, credible external narratives.
• Write, edit and produce a variety of editorial assets including thought‑leadership pieces, executive communications, contributed articles, talking points and digital content.
• Partner with PR, social, marketing, recruiting and other functions to coordinate and amplify editorial opportunities.

Required profile

• Journalistic curiosity with a strong ability to ask insightful questions and uncover hidden stories.
• Proven experience managing editorial calendars and content pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex subjects.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
