Early Education Center Teacher

About the role

Atlanta Technical College is hiring an Early Education Center Teacher to work in its Childcare Center located on the main campus south of downtown Atlanta. The role involves planning and delivering curriculum for infants and toddlers while supporting families and collaborating with specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and implement the Creative Curriculum in line with Department of Early Care and Learning policies.
• Observe and record child development using Teaching Strategies Gold assessments and Individual Family Service Plans.
• Prepare daily learning activities and materials for both small and large group experiences.
• Communicate daily with parents, conduct home visits, and encourage community volunteerism.
• Collaborate with Hub Specialists to meet the needs of all children, including those with special needs.
• Maintain health, safety, and nutritional standards, including support for nursing mothers.
• Attend meetings, training, and professional development; assist with parent conferences.
• Monitor children during class, outdoor play, and mealtimes to ensure a secure environment.
• Maintain classroom rules, routines, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Infant Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate) certification.
• State‑required credentials such as CDS, TCC, or a Paraprofessional Certificate (or higher degree).
