Early Childhood Variety Instructor (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Elmhurst Park District is seeking a part‑time Early Childhood Variety Instructor to lead preschool enrichment classes. You will plan, coordinate and deliver high‑quality instructional programs that align with state standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement recreation and instructional programs for early childhood.
• Prepare classroom materials and activities that meet state standards.
• Establish and enforce behavior rules and maintain classroom order.
• Observe and evaluate children’s progress, reporting concerns to supervisor.
• Manage classroom equipment, inventory supplies and adapt teaching methods to diverse abilities.
• Collaborate with other instructors and supervisors to develop and improve programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; currently pursuing or holding a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Availability to work Monday and Friday afternoons, with variable hours.
• Ability to communicate observations about children’s development to supervisors.
