Early Career Intern – Global Security (Cybersecurity)

About the role

As an Early Career Intern in Invesco’s Global Security Department, you will gain hands‑on exposure to how cybersecurity teams identify risk, strengthen controls, and manage cyber initiatives across the enterprise. You will rotate through Offensive Security & Testing, Cloud Security & Engineering, and PMO delivery workstreams, learning both technical concepts and project‑delivery practices.

Key responsibilities

• Support active cyber initiatives across Offensive Security, Cloud Security, and PMO delivery workstreams.
• Gain exposure to vulnerability management, application security, cloud and SaaS security, data protection, detection and response, and remediation tracking.
• Assist project managers with meeting notes, action items, risks, dependencies, and follow‑ups.
• Maintain project plans, status trackers, roadmaps, dashboards, and delivery materials.
• Help create operating models, process flows, testing documentation, remediation plans, playbooks, and stakeholder‑ready materials.
• Organize security metrics, project updates, risk information, and program data into clear summaries and reports.
• Identify opportunities to simplify project tracking, improve communication, and make cybersecurity information easier to understand.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Data Analytics, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to take clear notes and summarize discussions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts and ask thoughtful questions.
