E-Learning Support Specialist / Help Desk (IOTIS)

About the role

The E‑Learning Support Specialist / Help Desk (IOTIS) provides administrative and technical assistance for web‑based instruction at Athens Technical College, supporting the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) online training programs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of administrative and technical support functions for web‑based instruction.
• Conduct live orientation, policy, and exam review sessions via Microsoft Teams for online courses in Food Stamps, Medicaid, TANF, and Business Support.
• Assist the IOTIS E‑Learning Coordinator in instructing, monitoring, and interacting with DFCS online students and supervisors.
• Answer help‑desk inquiries by phone, LiveChat, and email.
• Support quality control of online training courses, updating materials and ensuring policy accuracy.
• Enter data and generate reports for IOTIS systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus three years of related work experience.
• Ability to master DFCS training materials and communicate them effectively to online students.
• Strong computer and technical proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office.
• Customer‑service experience with a clear, friendly telephone voice.
• Highly organized, quick learner, and able to meet deadlines.
• Must work on‑site at the Athens, GA campus.
