About the role
The 1818 Dual Credit Coordinator (History) supports Saint Louis University’s historic 1818 Advanced College Credit Program by managing relationships with high‑school history faculty and ensuring academic quality across partner schools.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct classroom observation visits and share feedback with faculty liaisons.
- Collaborate with department chairs and faculty liaisons on faculty performance and professional development.
- Coordinate review of new faculty applications and communicate results promptly.
- Review and communicate syllabus approvals for 1818 history courses.
- Maintain records of syllabi, evaluations, and professional development for all history faculty.
- Serve as an ambassador during site visits, presenting information to students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Participate in strategic planning for the 1818 Office and departmental events.
- Teach a history section for the 1818 program when needed, approximately once every three academic years.
Required profile
- Willingness to travel regularly on local, regional, and national trips.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, department chairs, and program leadership.
- Readiness to step into a teaching role when required.
