Driver Processor

About the role

The Driver Processor ensures that new company drivers complete all required paperwork, verifications, screenings and system setups accurately and on schedule. Working closely with Recruiting, HR, Safety and Operations, this role moves drivers through hiring to orientation and first day of work.

Key responsibilities

• Process driver Verification of Employment (VOE) and other safety‑history requests, reviewing applications for completeness.
• Coordinate pre‑employment drug screens, fuel‑card setup and other required hiring steps.
• Maintain accurate driver qualification records and update McLeod, Double Nickel ATS and other systems.
• Serve as primary point of contact for drivers during hiring, completing new‑hire paperwork and system enrollment.
• Support post‑orientation drivers by confirming receipt of cards, documentation and resolving administrative issues.
• Assist with audits, reporting and continuous improvement of driver processing checklists.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in transportation, recruiting, HR, safety or compliance preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and follow‑up skills with drivers, candidates and internal teams.
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Required skills

• Experience with McLeod transportation software.
• Familiarity with Double Nickel or similar ATS platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
