Driller Helper

About the role

Harris Exploration, a division of Earth Drilling, is seeking motivated individuals to join as Driller Helpers supporting mineral exploration projects across the United States. This full‑time, permanent role offers extensive training, travel to project sites in Nevada, Arizona and California, and a structured 20‑day on/10‑day off schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Driller with setup, takedown, and daily operation of reverse‑circulation, diamond core, and sonic drilling rigs.
• Handle drill rods, casing, core tubes, and sampling components while maintaining clean, stocked work areas.
• Collect, label, and transport rock chip or core samples, ensuring integrity and preventing contamination.
• Support routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and maintenance; report mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and keep the drill pad organized and hazard‑free.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Reliability, teamwork, and problem‑solving attitude.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site for extended periods.
