District Installation Manager - South Plainfield, NJ

About the role

The District Installation Manager (DIM) leads a team of associates to deliver a good customer experience for installed products. The role covers the full life of a job after sale, including the Pre-Installation Inspection (PII) and Job Site Inspection (JSI) processes, job movement, service and warranty programs, and customer escalations. It reports to the Branch Install Manager and has 2-5 direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Customer experience (40%): uphold installation standards, make timely decisions on concessions and job movement, handle customer care tickets and close open services; conduct JSIs and address escalations
• Leadership (20%): hire, set goals and manage performance of the field install team, run training, and work with the Sales Manager on measures, product and job changes
• Operations (40%): use data and reporting to meet cycle time, customer satisfaction, reorder rate and gross margin targets; audit measures and run PII and JSI audits; keep store and Core Services teams aligned

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; preferred 10 years of experience, including construction/home improvement and managing residential install projects
• Overnight travel of 5% to 20% of the time; intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion
• Working conditions include temperature extremes, machinery, noise and fumes

Pay range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Nevada, New York City, Ithaca (NY), Westchester County (NY) and Washington residents: $70,000 - $95,000.
