Director, Strategy & Business Development

About the role

Join 3M’s Consumer Business Group as a Director of Strategy & Business Development, leading high‑impact initiatives that shape the multi‑year roadmap of a $5 billion portfolio of iconic consumer brands.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own CBG’s three‑year strategic plan, including category, channel and area strategies with clear revenue and margin targets.
• Lead 2‑3 transformation initiatives end‑to‑end, from hypothesis‑driven analysis to execution and measured P&L impact.
• Screen and build business cases for acquisitions, licensing, divestitures and strategic partnerships.
• Run annual operating planning, KPI definition and long‑range planning in partnership with Finance.
• Prepare executive‑ready materials for the Group President, CEO and Board while leading cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years in CPG strategy, transformation or consulting, with 5+ years leading end‑to‑end projects.
• Proven experience building P&L, business‑case and scenario models.
• Strong influence across matrixed functions such as Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D and HR.
