Director, Strategic Business Development, Digital Assets

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Director to lead strategic business development in the fast‑evolving digital assets and blockchain space. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Strategic Business Development, you will identify, structure, and manage partnerships that expand Mastercard’s footprint in crypto, Web3, and digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive global business development in digital assets and blockchain.
• Manage global account tasks, ensure delivery on strategy, achieve commercial targets, and act as a strategic partner for crypto and blockchain companies.
• Drive product innovation based on customer feedback.
• Establish relationships with exchanges, wallets, layer‑1 protocols, on‑ramps, and other ecosystem players.
• Onboard and train new business development and account management team members.
• Deliver acquiring and issuing revenue and product targets within the digital assets segment.
• Partner with finance, franchise, marketing, communications, and regional teams to shape the digital economy.
• Review and expand target segments based on new opportunities and product launches.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development and account management.
• Relevant experience in the blockchain and crypto ecosystem with an extensive network of contacts.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ambiguous, and highly innovative environment.
• Ability to build close partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
