Director & Senior Counsel – Private Equity

About the role

As Director & Senior Counsel in BCI’s New York office, you will act as an embedded legal partner to private equity deal teams, guiding sophisticated investment transactions from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Provide transaction‑focused legal services for direct investments, co‑investments, fund investments, and venture & growth deals.
• Collaborate with internal counsel, external law firms, tax, compliance, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of global investment strategies.
• Advise the Chief Legal Officer and the Legal Affairs department on complex regulatory matters, including CFIUS, HSR, antitrust, and foreign direct investment filings.
• Serve as a proactive business partner, anticipating legal needs and shaping risk‑aware approaches for the Private Equity business.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) and admission or eligibility for admission to a U.S. bar (NY bar preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of transactional experience at a leading law firm, investment manager, or financial institution.
• Demonstrated expertise in mergers & acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and related regulatory processes.
