Director, Product Marketing

About the role

Cardless is a Series C fintech building credit‑card programs for leading brands. The company is hiring its first product‑marketing leader to shape the market narrative, own the website and create sales collateral that drives new enterprise partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously refine Cardless’s market positioning against competitors and alternatives, translating it for both enterprise partners and end‑consumer cardholders.
• Own the content strategy, copy and structure of cardless.com, directing design and engineering resources to keep the site current and consistent.
• Build and maintain the core sales toolkit – pitch decks, one‑pagers, case studies, battlecards and RFP templates – and iterate them based on feedback from live deals.
• Lead go‑to‑market launches for new products and partnerships, coordinating press, external content and sales enablement.
• Monitor competitors and adjacent players, providing leadership with insights that inform roadmap and positioning decisions.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of product‑marketing experience, preferably in B2B or B2B2C fintech, payments or card‑issuing environments.
• Proven track record of owning both a company website and the sales collateral derived from the same narrative.
• Strong writer capable of translating complex financial products into clear, compelling stories for both enterprise buyers and consumers.
• Hands‑on, self‑starter attitude – you will create decks, copy and briefs yourself rather than delegating.

Required skills

• Narrative and positioning craft – ability to create a defensible point‑of‑view for a financial product.
• Fluency in communicating to two audiences (enterprise partners and end‑users) within a B2B2C model.
• Design direction – capable of guiding contractors or agencies to production‑quality assets without doing the design yourself.
• Judgment and autonomy – prioritize positioning, website and collateral without a pre‑existing playbook.
