Director, Platform Operations – Payments & Commerce

About the role

The Director, Platform Operations – Payments & Commerce is responsible for defining and executing the operating model, governance framework, and operational strategy for Roku’s Commerce Platform. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that the payments and commerce ecosystem runs efficiently, securely, and at scale across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the operating model, governance cadence, and executive reporting for the Commerce Platform organization.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Payments, Financial Platform, Revenue Operations, Compliance and external partners to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
• Prioritize and make trade‑offs across governance, execution, incident management and organizational scalability.
• Oversee vendor management, fraud‑program operations and payments analytics as the function matures.
• Lead and mentor the TPM organization supporting Commerce Platform initiatives and grow the Operations team.
• Ensure consistent execution, operational transparency and platform resiliency at scale.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in platform operations, payments or commerce environments.
• Strong stakeholder management across product, engineering, finance and compliance functions.
• Ability to translate strategic goals into operational processes and metrics.
• Experience managing multi‑team, multi‑vendor ecosystems and incident response.
• Track record of building governance frameworks and driving execution discipline.
