Director of Technical Product Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Technical Product Development to lead innovation, development and commercialization of pizza and dough‑based snacking products within one of North America’s largest frozen‑food portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovation strategy for pizza and dough‑based snack platforms.
• Lead multidisciplinary product development teams from concept through commercialization and post‑launch optimization.
• Provide technical leadership in dough systems, pizza technologies, frozen foods, ingredient functionality and manufacturing processes.
• Partner with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Packaging, Regulatory Affairs and senior leadership to align R&D road‑maps with business objectives.
• Manage budgets, resources and talent allocation to deliver products that meet consumer preference, safety, cost, quality and speed‑to‑market targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Bakery Science, Food Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive food‑industry R&D experience, including dough‑based product development.
• 5+ years of people‑leadership experience managing product developers, food scientists and chefs.
• Proven record of taking products from concept to commercial launch in frozen foods, bakery or pizza categories.
