Director of Tax

About the role

Trading Technologies seeks a hands‑on Director of Tax to own the global tax function end‑to‑end, including provision, compliance, planning and structure. You will act as the in‑house tax authority, set strategy, manage a direct report and coordinate a network of external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual income tax provision under ASC 740, including current and deferred taxes, valuation allowances and effective tax rate analysis.
• Own the global tax compliance calendar for U.S. and international jurisdictions, ensuring timely filings and managing audits.
• Develop and maintain the global transfer pricing framework, documentation and country‑by‑country reporting.
• Serve as tax lead on M&A transactions from diligence through integration, identifying exposures and structuring protections.
• Manage indirect tax for a SaaS business, including sales/use tax, VAT/GST and digital services taxes, and configure tax engines such as Avalara.
• Partner with legal, FP&A, accounting and revenue operations to embed tax considerations into business decisions.

Required profile

• CPA or advanced tax degree.
• 15+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including multinational in‑house work.
• Strong hands‑on ASC 740 expertise and ability to defend provisions to auditors.
• Proven experience with transfer pricing, U.S. international tax and indirect tax for SaaS.
• Experience leading tax aspects of M&A and managing external advisors.
