Director of Sales - Senior Living

About the role

Experience Senior Living is looking for a Director of Sales to lead its sales efforts for a community in Anderson. The role focuses on sales-zone activities such as face-to-face client home visits, voice-to-voice outreach and creative follow-up, while building relationships with referral sources and tracking results.

Key responsibilities

• Meet or exceed monthly company and community sales standards, with a primary focus on face-to-face sales-zone activities including client home visits, voice-to-voice contact and follow-up.
• Respond to telephone, online and in-person inquiries and conduct walk-in and scheduled tours with prospective residents.
• Maintain the community database of inquiries, referral sources and follow-up communications accurately.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, qualify them and match services to their needs.
• Research local competition and new entrants, create and oversee the annual sales and marketing plan, and oversee advertising and collateral.
• Analyze ROI data and suggest strategy changes, and track move-ins, move-outs, transfers and referral quality.
• Assist with move-in paperwork, provide reports to regional management, attend sales training and promote community events.
• Monitor and manage the department budget and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience in senior living, including assisted living and memory care, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education preferred.
• Sales or leasing background in healthcare or senior living helpful.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays; varied schedules including evenings required.
• Current driver's license required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Relationship selling and demonstrated ability to close; motivational interviewing preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
