Director of Sales

About the role

XDS Bicycles is launching its high‑performance X‑LAB line in North America and needs a seasoned sales leader to build the dealer network from the ground up. Based in Santa Monica, you will be the face of the brand, establishing relationships with independent bike shops and regional chains.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch, and close deals with independent bike shops, specialty dealers, and small regional chains.
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, targeting 500 contracted dealers in the first year.
• Recruit, train, and mentor a sales team of 3‑5 representatives while remaining quota‑carrying.
• Develop and implement sales processes, territory management plans, and performance metrics.
• Create dealer onboarding programs, gather market intelligence, and represent XDS at trade shows and industry events.

Required profile

• 7+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven record of opening new accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to build a business from zero‑to‑one in a territory or product line.
• Experience selling to small and medium businesses, particularly independent retail stores.
• Strong relationship‑building and consultative selling skills.
