About the role
The University of Arkansas School of Social Work seeks a non‑tenure‑track Clinical Assistant Professor to lead online practicum education for the Master of Social Work program. This twelve‑month faculty appointment provides strategic oversight of field education, partnership development, and student support for online learners.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain community partnerships to secure high‑quality practicum placements for online MSW students.
- Provide individualized field advising, coordinate internship placements, and supervise internships when needed.
- Facilitate use of Tevera, the online practicum management system, and deliver training to instructors and faculty liaisons.
- Oversee online internship seminar courses and serve as a primary resource for students, practicum instructors, and community partners.
- Plan the annual Practicum Instructor Appreciation Breakfast and present Excellence in Practicum Education Awards at the MSW Pinning Ceremony.
- Serve as Co‑Chair of the Practicum Education Committee, participate on the Curriculum Committee, and represent the program at CSWE meetings.
Required profile
- Master of Social Work from an accredited institution, earned by the start date.
- Minimum two years of post‑MSW practice experience.
- Eligibility for social work licensure in Arkansas.
- Evidence of effective teaching, field supervision, or curriculum design experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collegially within a collaborative faculty team.
- Experience in program administration, development, or coordination.
- Potential for an active research or scholarly agenda.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Tevera, the online practicum management platform.
- Experience using educational technology platforms for online instruction and tracking.
