Director of HR

About the role

We’re looking for a strategic, hands‑on Director of HR to lead and scale our HR function across our San Francisco corporate headquarters, South SF Fulfillment Center, and distributed stylist network. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll own the health, compliance, performance infrastructure, and cultural alignment of three distinct branches.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development for corporate HQ.
• Build data‑driven performance management, growth frameworks, and compensation benchmarking.
• Standardize HR workflows to keep corporate teams aligned and moving quickly.
• Oversee HR for the fulfillment center, forecasting headcount, planning labor, and coordinating high‑volume recruitment.
• Maintain a strong floor presence, enforcing rigorous standards and supporting supervisors.
• Lead employee‑relations strategies for both hourly fulfillment staff and distributed stylists, ensuring clear communication and empathetic handling of difficult conversations.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in HR, with a track record heading up HR for an hourly, distributed, or multi‑site workforce.
• Deep, current knowledge of California employment law, especially for hourly and operational teams.
• Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus.
