Director of Data Science & AI for Oncology – Prostate Cancer

About the role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Director to lead Data Science, Data, and AI initiatives within the Solid Tumor Oncology team, focusing on prostate cancer. The role will drive innovative data-driven solutions across clinical development, trial design, and regulatory submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of novel prostate cancer endpoints using AI, digital health technologies, and advanced statistical methods.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate data science solutions into clinical trial design, real‑world evidence generation, and translational research.
• Manage internal and external partnerships, driving adoption of new technologies and data assets for prostate cancer programs.
• Provide scientific and strategic leadership for two clinical‑stage prostate cancer programs, representing data science within compound teams.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD or MS) with experience handling high‑dimensional datasets.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in drug development, biotechnology, AI, omics, or real‑world evidence.
• Working knowledge of clinical oncology, treatment paradigms, and clinical trial processes.
• Proven ability to manage timelines and deliverables in a matrixed organization.

Required skills

• AI/ML and predictive analytics applied to healthcare data.
• Statistical modeling and data mining techniques.
• Experience with electronic health records, omics, and imaging datasets.
• Ability to develop and deploy data science solutions for clinical trial design and endpoint discovery.
