Director of Campus Operations

About the role

The Director of Campus Operations leads the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of campus facilities, services, and infrastructure for Northeastern’s Oakland campus. Reporting to the Dean, this senior leader partners with institutional stakeholders to align operations with the university’s mission and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with campus leaders to integrate facilities operations with student, staff, and faculty experiences and long‑term campus strategies.
• Oversee daily campus operations, ensuring building services, maintenance, and infrastructure run smoothly and responsively.
• Develop data‑informed recommendations, monitor performance metrics, and drive process improvements that enhance service quality and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, sustainability commitments, and emergency preparedness plans.
• Build strong relationships across Facilities, Campus Planning, Sustainability, Residential Life, and the Provost Office to promote collaboration.

Required profile

• Minimum 8‑10 years of experience leading large‑scale projects and managing complex stakeholder relationships, preferably in higher education.
• Proven strategic planning, decision‑making, and project‑management expertise.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building, and change‑management skills.
• Advanced degree or professional credential is desirable.
