Director of AI

About the role

Sei Foundation is seeking its first Director of AI to embed artificial intelligence across all operational teams. This senior, strategy‑execution role will audit current workflows, identify high‑impact AI opportunities, and build scalable prompt‑driven systems that accelerate decision‑making and output quality.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a rapid audit of AI usage and operational workflows, mapping high‑leverage improvement opportunities.
• Design, test, and iterate prompt chains for research synthesis, executive briefings, partner outreach, and content drafting.
• Develop and document repeatable AI workflows for reporting, analysis, planning, and communications.
• Implement AI‑driven automation for recurring processes such as reporting pipelines, research summaries, and meeting preparation.
• Integrate AI tools with the existing tech stack (Slack, Notion, Monday.com, Google Workspace) to eliminate manual handoffs.
• Evaluate, recommend, and prioritize new AI platforms using a clear build‑vs‑buy framework.
• Maintain a living prompt library with version history and performance metrics.
• Train founders and leadership on AI best practices and champion organization‑wide adoption.

Required profile

• Proven experience building AI‑enabled workflows or automation at a senior level.
• Strong track record of delivering measurable time‑savings and quality improvements.
• Ability to translate business needs into effective prompt engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
