Director of Admissions & Recruitment, College of Medicine

About the role

The College of Medicine at UAMS Northwest seeks a visionary leader to direct admissions and recruitment for its 3‑Year MD and new 6‑Year BS/MD programs. The director will engage prospective students, families, and community partners to meet enrollment goals and ensure program success across Arkansas and neighboring states.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and admissions activities for traditional and accelerated medical tracks, managing scheduling, campus tours, and applicant interviews.
• Represent the College at college fairs, conventions, and regional recruitment events.
• Administer the 3‑Year Primary Care Accelerated Medical Program, including orientation, longitudinal clinic scheduling, summer clerkships, and credentialing at affiliated hospitals.
• Assist in design, implementation, and daily operations of the 6‑Year BS/MD curriculum in partnership with the University of Arkansas‑Fayetteville.
• Analyze enrollment trends, manage budgets, and coordinate with pre‑medical advisors, colleges, and high schools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
• At least five years of experience in administration, student services, or admissions, with two years in higher education.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and ten+ years of program coordination or healthcare administration experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using CRM/Admissions systems.
• Familiarity with Workday or other ERP platforms.
