Director, Government Relations (Colorado)

About the role

The Director of Government Relations in Colorado leads the partnership between state agencies and Contexture’s health information exchange. This senior position manages contracts, oversees project delivery, and drives strategic health‑care initiatives across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison with Colorado state agencies, managing contracts from negotiation through implementation.
• Coordinate project delivery, invoicing, and revenue monitoring to ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Provide regular status updates, identify barriers, and recommend solutions to senior leadership.
• Supervise assigned staff, handling recruitment, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of experience in state government, healthcare, public policy, or technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Public Administration or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Public Manager (CPM) certification strongly preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Project management expertise, including use of standard tools and techniques.
