Director, Global Master Data Governance

About the role

Alcon is seeking an experienced, results‑driven leader to serve as Director of Global Master Data Governance. Based in Fort Worth, TX, you will own the strategy, governance, and execution of master data across the global supply chain and commercial operations, ensuring a trusted, scalable data foundation for operational excellence and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and evolve Alcon’s global Master Data Governance organization, building stewardship, accountability, and operational rigor.
• Define and implement a future‑state MDG operating model across Supply Chain and Commercial domains.
• Own SAP MDG implementation, adoption, and optimization, including standard workflows, automation, and embedded data quality controls.
• Serve as Global Process Owner for Product/Material Master Data, aligning Finance, QA, Manufacturing, Planning, Distribution, Warehousing, and IT.
• Establish enterprise data governance frameworks, KPIs, and performance dashboards to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and scalability.
• Drive digital enablement through automation and AI‑enabled tools such as classification, validation, enrichment, and duplicate detection.
• Ensure master data readiness for commercial launches, IBP, CRM, MES, and system integrations.
• Act as a trusted partner to senior business leaders and provide expertise for major initiatives including product launches, acquisitions, planning transformations, and network changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Proven senior leadership experience in master data governance, supply chain, or related domains.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large‑scale transformation initiatives and influence enterprise strategy.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for data in a global healthcare environment.
