Director, Decision Analytics

About the role

HD Supply is looking for a Director, Decision Analytics to define and execute the business unit's overall intelligence and network strategy. The role oversees systems and tools used to store, model and analyze key business data such as supply chain, customer, product and financial data, develops analytics and optimization models to find operational and distribution improvements, and works with leadership to train the workforce on using data to drive business success.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the business intelligence and network strategy.
• Oversee the implementation and administration of business intelligence systems, tools and optimization techniques.
• Work with senior business leaders and their field and functional units to identify and implement advanced data reporting capabilities.
• Leverage available data sources to identify business improvement opportunities.
• Develop and manage unit and project budgets, and maintain data quality management initiatives.
• Lead direct reports and cross-functional teams of functional and technical resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering or a closely related field.
• 8 years of work experience as a decision analyst or similar position, including 5 years in distribution network optimization, 5 years in a management or supervisory capacity in decision analytics, and 5 years in operations research and optimization modeling.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders.
• Typically 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management or supervisory capacity.

Required skills

• Advanced data analytics tools and databases related to financial data, P&L statements and sales forecasts.
• Aggregating large volumes of operational, financial and customer data for analysis.
