Director - CTMS Strategy

About the role

Veeva Systems is seeking an accomplished Director of Strategy to drive adoption and growth of its Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) within the Veeva Clinical Operations suite. The role blends high‑level strategic planning with hands‑on execution to help life‑science sponsors and CROs manage complex clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies to increase adoption of Veeva Vault CTMS among sponsors, CROs, and emerging biotechs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, demonstrating the measurable value of a unified CTMS for trial oversight and compliance.
• Partner with sales teams to define target accounts, educate customers on cloud‑native CTMS benefits, and support strategic sales cycles.
• Represent Veeva at industry events and conferences as the primary evangelist for clinical operations technology.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and services teams to refine positioning, shape the product roadmap, and ensure seamless delivery.
• Gather detailed customer feedback, track trends in decentralized trials and risk‑based monitoring, and translate insights into product and business improvements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic leadership, business development, or go‑to‑market strategy within a clinical software/SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to move between high‑level strategy and detailed project execution.
• Strong presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences, including technical teams and C‑level executives.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
