Director, Clinical Data Transparency (EHDS)

About the role

The Director leads Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine's European Health Data Space (EHDS) programme, shaping strategy, governance and implementation across multiple regions. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Data Standards & Transparency, the role ensures regulatory requirements are translated into sustainable business capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the EHDS strategy, operating model and roadmap, aligning regulatory, business and technology priorities.
• Lead a cross‑functional programme spanning Global Development, Legal, Privacy, Regulatory Affairs, Technology, Data Transparency and MedTech.
• Establish programme governance, decision rights, risk and dependency management, and integrated reporting.
• Drive resource and capacity planning, external vendor management and transition to sustainable internal ownership.
• Develop change‑management strategy, including impact assessment, communications, training and adoption.
• Produce executive‑level reporting and represent J&J with external bodies on EHDS matters.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a scientific, technology, healthcare or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience leading large, complex, cross‑functional programmes in pharma, healthcare or technology.
• Proven ability to set programme direction, governance and deliver outcomes in a global matrix environment.
• Formal project or programme management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe) preferred.

Required skills

• Program and portfolio management, including integrated planning, risk, resource and change management.
• Working knowledge of EU regulatory environment, GDPR, EHDS and clinical trial transparency.
• Experience with governance frameworks and stakeholder alignment across multiple functions.
