Direct Care Worker (Home and Community Based Services Aide)

About the role

Almost Family, a part of LHC Group and the Optum family, is hiring a Home and Community Based Services Aide in Marinette, Wisconsin. The role provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions so that an individual can stay in their own home.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and help with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs and incidents, maintain confidentiality and use the EVV system
• Keep a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly and respond promptly to client needs

Required profile

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance and reliable transportation, or access to public transit
• In Wisconsin, listed on the Wisconsin Home Health Aide Registry
• Preferred: current CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire, 6+ months of home care experience and ability to work flexible hours
• Candidates must pass a drug test before starting employment
